– How to play in multiplayer mode?

Enjoying playing and chatting with other Golf 5 eClub members is amazingly easy. Simply click on the Club House button at the top right of the main menu and select your preferred language. Once you are in the Club House, you must click the “CREATE MATCH” button and set up your game. Now, simply wait for other Golf 5 eClub members to join it. You can also play in an already created game pressing the “JOIN” button.

First, add him first as a friend in Golf 5 eClub clicking the “Clubhouse” button on the top right of the main menu. Then, select your language. Once you are in the clubhouse, press the “Friends” button. On the list, look for your friend’s nickname and send him a friendship request using the proper button.

– I keep getting a “Check Internet connection“ message when entering Golf 5 eClub, although my Wi-Fi signal is strong and other games work fine.

To enjoy stable and smooth Golf 5 eClub online games, always choose for your headset`s Guardian system well-lit rooms with good Wi-Fi coverage.

– What is golf handicap?

The golf handicap is a numerical measure of a player’s level, ranging from 48 to 0. The handicap means the number of extra strokes a player can make over 72 strokes in a 18 holes course to achieve the par of the course.  E.g. If your handicap is 24 and playing a par 72 golf course, you should hit 72+24=96 shots to make the course par. In consequence, the better you are, the lower your handicap is.

Handicap allows players with different golf levels to play among them in a competitive and challenging way.

– How is the handicap updated?

1 – Calculation of Stableford Points: With the net results of each hole, the following calculations apply:

When do we reach our handicap?

By getting 36 Stableford points (18 holes x 2 points each par) in an 18-hole round or 18 Stableford points (9 holes x 2 points each par) in a 9-hole round.

2 – Handicap Calculation: The handicap increases, or decreases are calculated on the Stableford points made on the round and applying the criteria in the table below:

– How do I lower my handicap?

You can lower your handicap by hitting less strokes than the course par + your handicap in valuable rounds and in tournaments. E.g. with a handicap of 24 in a 72-par course you must finish the round with 95 shots or less to lower your handicap.

– Can I practice without affecting my handicap?

There are two ways:

Playing “Practice” mode. Then, choose the hole you want to practice on.

Playing “Rounds”. Once you have decided whether you want to play 18 or 9 holes, choose “No” on the “VALUABLE” setting.

– Sometimes, the ball falls out of the Guardian, and it becomes unreachable. What can I do?

If the ball is close enough you can pick it up with the controller trigger and lay it down in a closer spot using the trigger again.

If the ball is too far, be sure you are in the center and located left to right along the widest axis of the Guardian system. Once you are in that orientation, keep pressing the Oculus button on the right controller (it is marked with a big “O”)  for a couple of seconds. While pressing the button, an “O” is drawn on the screen. Once the O is completed, the game view must be centred, and the menus screen placed just in front of your eyes. Now you can reach the ball.

Once the view is well centred, along the game you can take small steps and turns to position yourself in the best way to hit the ball.

– How can I change units from yards to meters?

Sorry, you can’t, and we apologize to all the Golf 5 eClub members who are non-American. However, as #1 fans of the decimal metric system we can assure units selection is on our to-do list.

– I cannot reach the distances displayed for each club by far. What can I do?

The distances displayed for each club are only averages and they can vary depending on the player. However, we are sure with a little practice you’ll reach and even surpass these distances.

Nonetheless we are still tweaking shooting physics and our mid-term target is to achieve the best golf shooting simulation ever, so, be only concerned in always having Golf 5 updated to the last version.

– The Dunes course greens are fast as hell, aren’t they?

The Dunes course greens are quite fast, but not too; they are 11.5ft. There are 8ft or 9ft greens for beginners on real courses, but in official pro tournaments, speeds between 10 and 14 feet are the common.

If you want to practice on slower greens, you can configure its speed on Putting Green mode, but for Golf Course we consider 11.5ft good for playing online or on tournaments, and therefore it is what you should train with if you plan to compete.

We are planning to allow green speed configuration on golf courses while training, but in tournaments and online games, green speeds will always be fixed, as it is in real golf. However, new courses are coming, and they will have varied greens speeds.

– New courses are coming, right? RIGHT?

Certainly, indeed, for sure, yea, there will be more courses, but despite the big support from you all Golf 5 eClub members, we still are a quite small team, so we will need a little while to start releasing them.

– How can I acquire better sets of clubs?

You can enjoy the Mavrik set of clubs when reaching a handicap of 20 or less. To get the Epic set, you must achieve a handicap of 10 or fewer. Sets are free and will be on your bag as soon as you reach these handicap values.

– Does Golf 5 e Club support all golf club handle accessories?

Not yet, but we are working to make Golf 5 eClub fully compatible with most of them.

– I’m left-handed. How can I play Golf 5 eClub?

This one is easy: simply enter the game holding only the left-hand controller. For both, left and right controllers we suggest holding it with both hands just as if it were the handle of a golf club.

– Can I select a different language for the game?

Not yet, but soon the game will be available in languages other than English.
